Our Althea shrubs have been loving the heat! Commonly known as the Rose of Sharon, these guys make for beautiful summer blooms!

Once established, they're moderately drought-tolerant, perform well in poor soil, & are low-maintenance.

This tough deciduous shrub typically grows 8 to 12 feet tall & blooms from mid-summer to fall. Providing long-lasting color while other plants have often finished blooming!

Make your own Mosquito Bucket of Doom! A pollinator-friendly option to keep mosquitoes at bay this summer!

Supplies needed:
• Mosquito Dunks
• Bucket
• Grass/Yard Clippings
• Water
• Mesh (optional to cover)

Add clippings and one dunk to bucket. Fill with water & place in a shady area of your yard!

Female mosquitoes lay their eggs in the bucket of water and the dunk kills off the larvae! Add mesh or chicken wire on top to keep small critters out!
