Del Quadro trumpet #367

This one is a custom horn for a customer who came out to play test last summer. It is an il Capo bell with my G leadpipe. First time I've had the opportunity to put this combination together. GREAT combination! This one features a gold lacquer and Compositos button inlays. These usually look very blue but I think against the gold it's given them a slightly greener hue.

In the melee of the past few days.. and spending most of yesterday anxiously watching an airtag travel across the country, I believe I forgot to even send these pictures to the new owner before I shipped the horn. There were some hangups getting the horn past the finish line, so we went ahead and overnighted it as a courtesy.

Yes... I still used ups to ship. Someone just drove my package across the country non-stop for almost 30hours from UPS, they may have messed up the shipment and there has been a lot of confusion, but the way they seem to be making up for it as a company... I'll keep using them.

Del Quadro Il Lucido #373

This is a relatively new model. I showed the first one like it at the 2025 itg conference. This is the 6th I've built of the same model with relatively no changes.

I will be showing this trumpet next week during the itg conference. This is a lightweight model with 4 5/8" copper bell. I did this one in a raw hand polished finish with pietersite inlays in the buttons stops and screws. All of the pietersite was cut out of one piece. Really beautiful stone, but harder to cut. Dulled my tools quickly.

Del Quadro Grande campana #372 is in polished raw brass and copper and features opal button and stop screw inlays. This trumpet was (also) finished yesterday and shipped to the itg conference today and will be available during the conference for play test and or purchase!

This was one of my favorite horns that I setup for the conference. A great playing horn and the opal pops like crazy against the polished metal. 10/10 would build again.

Del Quadro Picasso cornet #344. This number is way out of order but it was by mistake.. and clearly the number makes this horn no less stunning!

This has a very traditional look to it in the respect of being high polished and lacquered. When the customer requested Saturn Waterkeys I "hemmed and hawed" about it because I don't usually like the look on them. On some trumpets they can look out of place. However, I really do like the look of them on this design, so good eye on the soon to be new owner of this horn.. I just love how it came out!

Del Quadro Grande campana #374 in a *reddish* tarnish with charoite inlays. This one was intended for a client but it unfortunately ended up not being quite the shade of red they were looking for. Unfortunate... But I also understand wanting exactly what you want. It's unfortunate that this horn was rejected before it was even played because this whole recent batch we play tested this week were really great playing horns!

So this bonus horn is one more I'll have for the ITG conference and a shorter wait for a potential new owner.

Del Quadro Grande campana #375. Tarnished with blue opal inlays.

This instrument was built as a demo for the itg conference at the end of the month. I have gotten very few horns to come up this shade of blue. It has something to do with impurities in my cleaning tank or the local water.. but I've only gotten it a few times just by chance. Like a blue lobster or something.

Admittedly this one plays it's ass off so a great example to bring to a trumpet show. I think I might end up with 3 Grande campanas. Almost a 10 year old model and still one of my most popular.

This one is polished raw brass with very slight tarnish and AZ jade inlays.

This is the first of MANY horns I will be posting in the coming days. 5 in process being finished and 5 more on the way back from the lacquer shop.

I was in the shop for 14hrs yesterday... Did I mention May is busy as F_____g ____s?
