Inspired by our local, wild, rainbow trout. Small fish in small water with huge fight. I like how our little rainbow banks hard to intercept this kebari fly.
is an absolute tenkara feind. A local angler I was fortunate to meet and become friends with. Along with fishing and creating, I also love martial arts and old Japanese cars. My brother in law drove me down to San Diego to pick up this FJ years ago. This truck was slow, thirsty and raw. It was so much fun. I know I’ll regret selling this one but It was starting to sit way more than it was being driven.

I did a thing. Out of 30,000 submission from around the world, this barbless fly was awarded and selected to be included in this years book. I remember looking through these books as a design student but never thought I’d end up having work in one. Stoked to have fly fishing stuff show up in the design world.
