For many years since I started attending antique markets and fairs and collecting and purchasing items. It has always been a dream of mine to have my own store. I took that leap of faith 3 years ago and just went for it.

It has been fun and challenging and a lot of work for just myself. I have a lot on my plate including caring for my elderly mom & aunt 89/91 and working part-time to help make ends meet.

Unfortunately the time and energy and hours spent photographing, marketing, pricing, entering items into the system, tagging, transporting and merchandising products, including renting space, just out-weighed my profits.

I will not look at this as failure but a true learning experience and self growth. I have no regrets, because if I hadn’t opened a store I would have said to myself: shoulda, coulda, woulda.

Thank you to everyone for all your support. Truly appreciate you and everyone who has been helpful to me.

Vintage Luggage 1950-60s

My obsession! The stories they told and the places they traveled to always intrigued me. Making a statement in a room, adds character as an end table stacked beside a chair or couch. They’re also great for storage. I started my obsession in the early 90s treasure hunting at various antique shops and vintage fairs. I went from looking for brown 1920s versions to up until they became hard to find and looking for ivory colored 1950s-60s luggage. It took about 2-3 years to build my collection. They served many purposes when my children were young, storing my sons toys and my daughters dress up clothes. It made cleaning up fun as we put them away into the luggage singing the Barney’s clean up song! Of course they had their own. My son had the brown 1920s luggage and my daughter had the 1950-60s ivory ones. They were very functional, I even used them in a photo shoot for my daughter and a travel theme party I had for my son. Feels so good to turn something old and giving it new life.

The ones above are sold however I have the 1920s brown luggage and more of the 1950s-60s ivory pieces. Presently, I’m attached to them and will eventually detach from my “attachments” very soon

Exhibition Poster-Edison Community College is in the Pop Art style that fit Rauschenberg's fun sense of creativity. It is colorful and bold with a funky frog in the middle. Rauschenberg's signature is on the lower right.

Rauschenberg (October 22, 1925 – May 12, 2008) was an American painter and graphic artist whose early works anticipated the Pop art movement. He received numerous awards during his nearly 60-year artistic career. Among the most prominent were the International Grand Prize in Painting at the 32nd Venice Biennale in 1964 and the National Medal of Arts in 1993. He lived and worked in New York City and on Captiva Island, Florida,

Robert Rauschenberg, the irrepressibly prolific American artist, is known as the one who time and again reshaped art in the 20th century. He was a painter, photographer, printmaker, choreographer, onstage performer, and set designer. In later years, it is said, he was even a composer. He defied the traditional idea that an artist must stick to one medium or style. He pushed, prodded and sometimes reconceived all the mediums in which he worked.
