Kind of on vaycay for now Hello, my name is Rod Queen. I've been involved with clay since 1975.

All of my work at present is true high- fired porcelain (approx. 2390 F.) Fired in a natural-gas forced-air burner reduction kiln. Porcelain is truly a great clay. Pieces meant to be thin are very translucent. I specialize in copper reds and microcrystalline mattes. All work meant for food use have non-toxic glazes, are dishwasher, microwave and oven safe, and meant for lifetimes of use with care.

The most important care reminder is very simple: > to never put a very cold pottery item into the microwave or oven and vice versa- hot into cold: fast temperature changes may crack the ware. I make my pottery with love and hope that it is appreciated as well. I do make other detail-intensive decorative but functional work that has an environmental and political origins just contact me with questions!!! I can only be happy with a satisfied customer.
