Governor Pillen has ordered flags to be flown at half staff on February 27th sunrise to sunset in honor of fallen trooper Kyle McAcy.

We are praying for the repose of his soul and for his family at this time. Such a tragic loss for our great state.

The Nebraska State Patrol is mourning the tragic loss of Trooper Kyle McAcy #302, who gave his life in the line of duty this morning while assisting motorists who had been involved in a crash on Interstate 80 near Ashland.

Trooper McAcy has been a dedicated Trooper for 10 years and an incredible friend to countless people. Please keep his family, friends, colleagues, and all who have the honor of knowing him in your hearts following this unimaginable loss.

In the coming days, there will be opportunities for members of the public to pay their respects and to send love to Trooper McAcy's family. Those details are forthcoming.

The outpouring of support has already been tremendous. Thank you, Nebraska.

Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen and Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds have directed that flags be raised to full staff on January 20th sunrise to sunset in honor of Inauguration Day. Flags will return to half staff on Jan 21 until sunset on Jan 28th in honor of President Carter

Today is National Pearl Harbor Day. We will never forget the over 2,000 Americans who gave their life today 81 years ago at Pearl Harbor. By order of the Whitehouse the flags are to be flown at half staff until sunset.
