Today, I made a hard decision and released all authors currently published through TNM Publishing from their contracts and removed their respective books from print. This was a hard decision, but I strongly feel it was the correct one.
In the past, I've always tried to go above and beyond for my authors. I've booked numerous conventions and represented the entire catalog of books published by TNM Publishing, not just my personal works. I've gone beyond what contracts with my company require of me from a marketing standpoint. I've pushed each author as hard as I could and done my very best to try and assure their success, with admittedly mixed results.
The decision to remove books from print did not come from an opinion on the quality or saleability of the books. It came strictly from the fact that, due to some extreme personal circumstances, I've been unable to continue promoting my authors as hard as I would like. While, contractually, I feel I've fulfilled my obligations to my authors, the fact that I can no longer go the extra mile to try and drive their success has left me no choice but to release them from their contracts.
I didn't do this for the company, I did this for the authors. Each of them has a unique style, a unique voice, and singular talent. It is my sincere hope that you will continue to support them should they choose to continue their journeys as writers either on their own or with another publisher.
This is not the end for TNM Publishing, but it is an unfortunate moment of transition.
Sincerely,
Timothy Morris
