Welcome to Shadow Wing Bags! I’m Amber Brown, the creator behind every handcrafted piece.

By day, I’m a special education teacher, but in my free time, I escape into the world of sewing, fantasy books, and creativity. I rediscovered my love for reading after learning I’m dyslexic—once I had the right supports, I couldn’t get enough! My favorite series (and the inspiration for the name Shadow Wing Bags) is Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend it!

Along with dyslexia, I navigate life with ADHD, and sewing has become a therapeutic outlet for me. But let’s be honest—I can’t keep everything I make, so Shadow Wing Bags was born! Beyond my love of crafting, my greatest joys are my amazing adult children and my precious grandbabies. My house is now filled with the tiny paws of my fur babies instead of little feet. And in the most unexpected way, I found the love of my life later in life after surviving years of domestic abuse. He is my rock, my biggest supporter, and the reason this business exists—his unwavering encouragement gave me the courage to turn my passion into something more. Every bag I create carries a piece of my journey, stitched together with love, resilience, and a little bit of fantasy magic. Thank you for being here and supporting my dream! 💜✨

Dear Wild Soul Boutique Community,

It is with mixed emotions that I announce the end of Wild Soul Boutique’s journey. This chapter has been filled with so many wonderful memories and connections, and I am deeply grateful for your support and loyalty over the years.

But as one door closes, another opens, and I am thrilled to share the exciting news about the new path ahead. I will be focusing on creating handmade, unique, and high-quality items that truly reflect a part of me in every piece. This new venture is a passion project that I can’t wait to share with you.

If this new direction doesn’t align with your interests, I completely understand if you choose to leave the group. However, I encourage you to stay for the upcoming blowout inventory sales, which will offer incredible deals on our current stock.

Once the Facebook group name changes, you’ll get a sneak peek into all the exciting new creations I have in store. Thank you for being a part of this journey with Wild Soul Boutique. I hope to see you continue with me on this new and exciting adventure.

Dear Customers and Residents of Mason City,

We are writing to express our deep disappointment and concern regarding the unprecedented amount of theft that occurred at this year’s Bandfestival. It is disheartening to see both kids and adults engaging in such disrespectful behavior, resulting in significant losses for many vendors. The lack of parental supervision and the overall disrespect shown by some attendees have left us appalled.

To our valued customers, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We cherish our relationship with the community but, regrettably, we will not return to Bandfestival unless proper security measures are implemented to ensure the safety and respect of all participants.
