After a lot of reflection, we've decided to step away from the brick-and-mortar location for North Root Studio. I don’t necessarily believe in fate or destiny, but sometimes things quietly fall into place — and the timing simply feels right.
Leaving this space has been incredibly hard. It holds so many memories — my infant son in a swing while I painted the exterior, crying behind the counter after losing my dog, and my mother-in-law proudly sharing about the shop even though she lived hours away. The Studio was never just a store — it was a piece of my life.
North Root started as a hobby and grew into something so much bigger because of all of you. While closing this chapter of the physical space, you can still reach out for your favorite wares. For now, I’m focusing on my family, myself, and what comes next.
If there’s one thing I hope you carry forward, it’s how important small businesses are. Share the ones you love. Spread the word. Buy the things that inspire you — especially the ones that make you think you could make them yourself. That’s how creativity grows and small businesses keep going.
