Sixteen years and some 16,000 soaps later, I have decided I've made enough felted soaps.
Who would have thought what started on a whim after watching a how-to on a craft show would grow into a very successful sideline in the Peddler, the gift shop my daughter and I started ten years ago.
So... I have sold my Soap-in-a-Parka business to Ninilchik graduate, my friend, and successful businesswoman, Amy Kruse, AKA 'Love from Alaska'.
But have no fear, part of our deal is that the soaps you have been so wonderful to purchase over the years will continue to be available at the Peddler. Amy is teaming up with her friend and business partner, Ana (of Abeille Boutique and The Goods). Come summer, Soap-in-a-Parka will have a new look and they are so excited to put new spins on the old product.
Thank you, Amy and Ana. We all look forward to seeing what's to come from an old favorite.
Thank you to my wonderful customers and dear friends for your amazing support of my Soap-in-a-Parka venture. (BTW, we still have a few left of the original product.)
Also, thanks to my husband for coming up with and constructing many of the soap making tools necessary for the manufacturing process.
But, most of all, thank you to my beautiful daughter, Jessica, for encouraging me and for promoting the soaps in her amazing staging of the Peddler and all our many booths through the years. My soaps, and the Peddler, wouldn't have gone anywhere without you.
Now. On to new creative products to add to the Peddler!
Love from Nadine
