Some pictures of the clearcut we have been working on over in Walton. It's located on the Bear Spring Mountain State Forest. The tops and slash left behind will be wildlife habitat for rabbits and birds. Should get some good cherry regeneration as well. There is 60ac total, spread out over 3 cut blocks. We are about half done but will have to leave soon due to the weather warming and contract stipulations. Should set us up nice to finish next winter.

New logging pickup going under the knife tomorrow for some logging mods.

Trying wheel tracks instead of tire chains. Have been running them for a few weeks now. So far I've been impressed with their performance.

What are the odds??Opened up a road about 100 yards above the buncher. The next morning I went to use it and found that a rock that I pushed off the road above made it's way down through the trees and ledges and landed square in the head of the buncher. Nothing was hurt on the machine.

Getting started with the new machine today. Wasn't planning on purchasing a buncher for a few more years but with the lack of help and the high cost of workers comp I decided to invest sooner. I have a lot of learning to do. More pics and videos to come.
