Amanda here to share about my recent tour of Twin Cities Pavilion, one of Niceville’s oldest assisted living facilities. It was clear from the start that the Pavilion is well-loved and cared for by many in our community, so I’m sharing for the benefit of any who are unfamiliar and so that all may learn more about one of the agencies supported by Bargain Box revenue ~ which is thanks to all of our generous donors and customers.

Patti Tusai-Snow, Facility Director, is a long-time friend of mine, so I’ve heard updates and stories for years about how things are going with their residents. Patti cares for all of them on so much more than a cursory level. She is invested in each resident’s life and well-being, and I saw it first-hand again and again throughout my visit. She loves them, and they love her, and I am a huge fan!

She also has a phenomenal staff, and their intentional commitment to one another and the work they’re doing is not only a joy to see but also one of the best examples I’ve seen of teamwork and applaudable work ethic.

We currently provide monthly support to TCP, which they split between maintenance, meals, and activities. As much as I'd like to share our entire history with them and all that they’re accomplishing in each of those departments, I’ll stick with the one little span of time that I was so fortunate to spend with them.

I wish I’d taken many more pictures, but I was just so engaged in the experience! Be sure to read the captions.

So many of the improvements and services are provided by local volunteers and groups. Rather than risk getting names wrong, I'll leave it to y'all to call out any people or groups that you know are responsible.

HUGE lot of bionicles and transformers going to Curated Cabinet in the morning. I've been taking stabs at this for at least a year, trying to sort, assemble (and also play 😁). There are Definitely collectibles in here, but I give up!

We have a 3.5-4 lb bag for $100 and three two-gallon bags for $60 each. Will sell all for $240.

I priced a couple that I could identify easily enough as noted in captions.
