Happy 250th America! Newville Fountain Festival Foundation sure outdid themselves! When I looked across the huge crowd as the flag made her way up Big Spring Avenue I could not help but tear up. As the 90 year old Marine saluted and they saluted back…I had a hard time keeping it together. Tonight was surely the best of America…family, community, and a deep respect for our country’s past. Well done Newville. Well done.

Last year we had Cloverdale Diggers (David Fertig) stop by to treasure hunt in the yard. While we didn't find Ulysses' war medals, they did find this fabulous koi pond from one of the families who owned our home long ago and Joe brought it back to life! So grateful to love and livei in this home! The teas in the backyard will be so fun!

Herron Cottage was once again filled with love and laughter! A bridal shower thet truth showered the bride with all the love ❤️. This one was extra special Bubbler Family love---40 plus years of friendship once started on the Bubbler softball field and ended here in sharing our children's joys. Thank you to Deb Evans Carey for trusting us in sharing on such a special day. Old friends really are the best family. 💜💛 (more pics to follow--their theme was so cute!)

7 more sleeps til the first bridal shower of the season! (And they are coming all the way from West Virginia to visit our sweet little town!) Last year may have found us into an episode of This Old House but she sure looks beautiful for nearly 170 years old! So much to do to get ready and I feel like a child anticipating the first day of school!

Looking for a slower, nostalgic place to live? Want a safe, old fashioned place to call home? You can go for a ride on the rail trail, throw in a few lines in the Big Spring and finish up with friends Whiskers Brewing Inc just down the street. Wake up to a great breakfast at Theo's Diner. Walk to the park, Dr's office and even elementary school! Visit the Newville Historical Society and learn how President Grant visited your treelined street---and the price? So much to offer. Come by Parsonage Street where we still sip tea and visit on the porch.
