LATE NIGHT IN THE FALLS RETURNS
Friday, June 5

There’s something different about Newton Falls in the evening.

The pace slows down. The sidewalks get a little quieter. Music drifts through downtown from the speakers overhead. The lights come on in the historic district, and neighbors and visitors alike find themselves lingering a little longer than they planned.

On Friday, June 5, many of the downtown businesses will be staying open late, with most shops open until approximately 8:00 or 9:00 PM.

It’s the perfect opportunity for those who can’t make it during regular business hours to explore everything our historic downtown has to offer.

Take a stroll through the district. Browse the shops. Grab dinner, a coffee, or a sweet treat. Relax in the alleyway, visit with friends, and enjoy an evening that feels a little like stepping into a small-town movie set.

Whether you’re a longtime resident or visiting for the first time, we invite you to experience Newton Falls after hours.

Come see why so many people are discovering the charm of our historic downtown.

See you June 5 for Late Night in the Falls.

🐝 Meet Buzzy the Market Bee!

Before we get started, I should probably introduce myself. I’m Buzzy, the official Market Bee for the Newton Falls Farmers Market. You’ll be seeing me around sharing market updates, vendor information, community news, and all the exciting things happening as we bring the farmers market to Newton Falls.

As the market grows, I’ll be your friendly guide, helping connect our community with local farmers, fresh foods, and everything happening throughout the season.

Our goal is simple:

🌱 Connect residents and visitors with local agriculture and fresh foods

🤝 Create a positive gathering place for the community

Since this is our first year, we’re sure there will be things we learn along the way. We’ll celebrate what works, improve what doesn’t, and gather feedback at the end of the season.

For now, we’re asking everyone to come with an open mind, a positive attitude, and a spirit of community. Every successful market starts somewhere, and we’re excited to see what we can build together.

Let’s make this a season of fresh produce, friendly faces, and hometown pride.

See you at the market.

COULD NEWTON FALLS SET A GUINNESS WORLD RECORD?

While researching the Newton Falls Treasure Hunt, I came across an interesting record.

According to Guinness World Records, the largest treasure hunt game consisted of 1,384 participants and was achieved in Greece on February 12, 2017.

That got me thinking…

Could Newton Falls break that record?

I have officially submitted an application to Guinness World Records and am currently waiting to hear back from their team. I recently received the following response:

“Thank you for your record inquiry. We’re just reviewing a few details before confirming the next steps and we’ll be back in touch with you.”

So, at this point, nothing has been approved yet, but the conversation has begun.

With our nation’s 250th Anniversary celebration taking place in Newton Falls on July 4th, an event that traditionally brings tens of thousands of visitors to town, and with the final treasure hunt clue scheduled to be released on July 7th at noon, I believe there is a real possibility that we could surpass the current record of 1,384 participants searching for treasure on a single day.

Imagine that for a moment.

A small town in Ohio hosting one of the largest treasure hunts in history.

What started as an effort to support local businesses, attract tourism, and shine a spotlight on Newton Falls has already exceeded every expectation. If this opportunity becomes reality, it could bring even more attention, visitors, and economic activity to our community and the surrounding area.

For now, we’re waiting to hear back from the Guinness World Records team. As soon as I receive any updates, I’ll share them with everyone.

Who knows?

The treasure may not be the only historic thing happening in Newton Falls this summer.

A THANK YOU TO OUR SPONSORS

When I first announced the Newton Falls Treasure Hunt, I never imagined just how much support this community would rally behind it.

What started as an idea to bring visitors to town, support local businesses, and showcase everything that makes Newton Falls special has grown into something much larger than any one person could have accomplished alone.

Today, I want to publicly thank every sponsor, donor, business owner, organization, and individual who has contributed to this effort.

Because of your generosity, the Newton Falls Treasure Hunt has become the largest treasure hunt our area has ever seen. Together, we’ve welcomed visitors from across Ohio, across the United States, and even from around the world. Thousands of people have discovered our shops, restaurants, historic landmarks, parks, and the incredible people who call this community home.

This treasure hunt may be hosted by Fieldview Acres Mercantile, but it belongs to the entire community. Its success is the result of dozens of businesses, organizations, and individuals coming together with a shared goal: to put Newton Falls on the map and support our local economy.

Every donation mattered.
Every sponsorship mattered.
Every share, recommendation, and word of encouragement mattered.

Thank you to our 65 sponsors and countless supporters who believed in this vision and helped turn it into a reality.

Fisher's Geodes and Gems and More too!

Whether you contributed financially, donated items, helped spread the word, welcomed visitors into your business, or simply encouraged the project along the way, you played a part in making local history.

Newton Falls should be proud of what we’ve accomplished together.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

The adventure continues.
