Admittedly i always feel a little Jack the Ripper when I make torsos in resin. It’s telling that the molds don’t often come with heads!

But women’s bodies are inherently beautiful. In art they remind us of ourselves, whatever our gender, other women we love, and female aspects of the divine.

It’s just a pleasant shape too! I love demolding these and seeing how everything cured inside. In this one I used various blue media over blue paper.

I love the textured face of this so much. It’s soothing to hold it and feel the tiny nooks and crannies. I like that falls between the totally natural looking ones and the more abstract ones.
