The next step of our batik process: the dyed fabric, with wax still on, is soaked in a bath of color-fixing agent. Wax is then removed by stirring the cloth in a pot of hot boiling water. pH, moisture, temperature of the environment affect the colors and dye-fixing to the cloth creating unique, slight color variations between each piece!
