After 41 years, Durham Book Exchange will be closing its retail store at the end of October 2021. The way textbooks are bought and sold has rapidly changed during the past five years, creating serious implications for independent textbook stores like us. Couple this with the effects of COVID, increased shipping costs, and the lack of appropriate commercial real estate in Durham, and it simply doesn’t make sense for us to continue.
We are grateful for your support and business, as you have made all of our hard work that much more worthwhile. As we turn the page to our next chapters, we would like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you.
