Not every art book is designed for the same reader.

Our collection includes two distinct TASCHEN publications on Frida Kahlo, each offering a different reading and collecting experience. Both explore her paintings, photos, diary pages, and illustrated biography. One hardcover, 480 page version provides an accessible introduction to her life and work, while the clothbound XXL monograph (11.4 x 15.6 in., 624 pages) explores her paintings and photos with exceptional scale and detail.

"If you're after a wow-factor gift for the art lover in your life, this coffee table book will tick all of the boxes and then some (if the shelves are strong enough!)." - The Independent

"Here is your own Kahlo museum" - The Times

"Gives readers an insider view of one of art history's most iconic painters." - nymag.com

We were past due for a redesign, our work had outpaced our previous websites. Two companies became one, our disciplines merged, and our online shop expanded to include new design-forward books, prints, accessories and displays.

Welcome to the new artandanthropologypress.com, an updated edition of who we are, what we make, and how we can work together.

Extensions, No.3 designed in collaboration with Denise Montgomery of the Global Centre for Creative Youth Development for GELYDA, the Global Extended Learning and Youth Development Association.

This 88-page issue was released in conjunction with GELYDA's 2026 global conference in Seoul, Korea. Welcome to our studio located on the top floor of the Newburgh Creates building in the City of Newburgh's East End Historic District. A building has been part of Newburgh's working landscape for more than 150 years.

Beginning in the late 1800's with one of Newburgh's earliest seed and grain suppliers, it has also been the base for a sporting goods supplier, electrician, and a motorcycle shop.

After significant renovations, it's become home to Art & Anthropology Press, Newburgh Creates, a local web developer, an artist, and a composer—a place where books, art, tech, and music are created. Follow along for a closer look at what we're working on inside.
