It's been a long goodbye, but the last day has finally come. After 23 amazing years, we wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU! To say that we are touched by all the love and well wishes we've received would be an understatement. We feel fortunate to have been able to make a living doing what we love and we wouldn't have been able to do it without you! We are proud of the business we built and the work we've done. We've helped people, had fun and met a lot of amazing people. We are truly grateful for every customer that has walked through our doors. We are equally grateful to the employees that have been part of Freedom Cycle – especially our Dave, he is a true rock star.

We've been busy packing up and are almost done. We have oil, filters and brake pads available tomorrow from 10-2 while we finish up.

We announced our retirement last year hoping that someone was out there who would be interested and able to run a bike shop. While there was a tremendous amount of interest, there was noone who had the finances and skill required. By February we made the decision to rent our building to a company that had a good use for the space and would be a good tenant. We've been planning our retirement for a long time - not because we are moving, but simply because we don't want to be tied to work anymore. We're looking forward to long vacations, riding our bikes on all the nice days and spending time doing whatever we want. We will be here today packing up if there is anything you need. This four leaf clover was in our grass at our last location about 15 years ago. I was so excited I quickly preserved it in packing tape and gave it a special place. It moved with us 9 years ago and now it’s moving again. Some people say we’re lucky that we can retire “young”. While I think the clover is fun, I’m pretty sure it was hard work and good planning that got us where we are ……but I’m still taking the clover and it will get another special place.

One more shopping day left. We’re painting our building for our new tenant and packing it up this week. We’re excited to start our summer off.
