All set up at Greenbank Mills & Philips Farm’s shearing day! This year our local fiber guild has a table displaying our members’ creations as well as dyeing with natural fibers, making rope, and various other fiber crafts. Sheep shearing and talks will happen throughout the day and there are some great vendors and food trucks. Come support a local piece of history!

Spinning with the drop spindle today. It’s a much slower process than the electric wheel but it’s nice to slow down sometimes. I always think about how this used to be the primary way to make clothing and cloth.
