Mother Nature really decided to make this year’s festival one for the books 🌧️😅

I’ve done events for years, but this amount of rain during the festival has honestly been unprecedented. Huge shoutout to everyone who still came out, supported small businesses, splashed through puddles, and kept the festival spirit alive 💛

And for anyone wondering — tomorrow, I’m staying put.

I’ll be there past 4 and until there are no more festival goers left wandering around looking for sweets, freeze-dried goodies, or cotton candy. 🍭🍓☁️
Rain or shine, we’re finishing this festival strong 💪

Utica Ice Cream Festival Update

We sincerely apologize to everyone who made the trip out to the festival grounds today.

We were fully prepared to handle some rain this weekend, but we were not prepared for the amount of rain we received. The main reason we made the difficult decision to close today was because our general parking lot, where 95% of our festival attendees park throughout the weekend, was completely underwater.

The last thing we wanted was to risk vehicles getting stuck, especially with a limited team available to help pull people out safely.

To everyone who still came out today, thank you. We appreciate your support more than you know, and we are truly grateful for the way this community continues to show up for the Utica Ice Cream Festival.

We will be reassessing the grounds in the morning to determine the best parking options for guests and whether we will be able to extend festival hours past 4 PM.

To all of our vendors and entertainment, we apologize for the situation and appreciate your patience and understanding. We hope to turn it back up tomorrow, Monday, May 25, and welcome everyone back for a great day at the festival.

I wanted to share my upcoming events because I’ve had a lot of people asking where they can find Frostbite Goods next!

I’ll be having ankle surgery on the 6th, which means I’ll be mostly out of commission for a bit—but if you know me, you know I’m stubbornly dedicated to my customers 😂 So yes… I will still be at my Mother’s Day event on the 10th, even if I’m rolling in on one foot and pure determination.

Alright, kicking off my new series with my personal favorite… 👀🍓
✨ What Can You Do With Freeze-Dried Fruit? – #1: PANCAKES ✨
And I’m not talking about just tossing fruit on top (although… also yes 😌)
Take your freeze-dried fruit and:
🍓 crush it into a powder and mix it right into your pancake batter for a natural fruity flavor
🍌 sprinkle pieces directly into the batter for little bursts of flavor
🍎 or use it on top with syrup for the perfect crunch
It adds flavor, texture, and honestly makes your pancakes feel a little ✨fancy✨ without any extra effort
Bonus: no worrying about fresh fruit going bad in the fridge 🙃
This is hands down one of my favorite ways to use it, and once you try it… regular pancakes might feel a little boring 😂
