You scratch my back, I’ll scratch yours! These girls have polar opposite personalities, but they get along famously: Lemeki is a big laugh and sees everyone as a friend, while Rokka is serious and selective about the company she keeps.

Despite their differences, Lemeki has really taken Rokka under her wing. We can’t help but think that she’s also on a mission to encourage Rokka to be a little less serious. It seems to be working!

This is the beauty of our Orphans’ Project. Elephants are social and supportive by nature β€” and without any encouragement, our older orphans serve as friends and mentors to their juniors. There’s no telling who will gravitate to whom, but they guide each other through life.
