The perfect array on a beautiful day: violets and their companions bursting forth out front; shelves chock-full of good books (and more waiting in the wings); a plethora of kitchen and table accessories; and out back, a glorious spring garden where you (and even I) can sit and read. More about The Heart-Shaped Tin . . . I’m in it! This is my mother, Libby Wrubel Slotnick, and the little red saltshaker that reminds me of her every time I walk into my kitchen. Bee shared our story in her book. In a sweet coincidence, my mother always baked our birthday cakes in a heart-shaped tin.
