What a rewarding experience it was to spend a few days getting to know the talented musicians and luthiers in Habana, Cuba — Thank you for the warm hospitality, & Judy for connecting me to Ale & peeps & the luthiers, .lyceum.habana & Daiana García @ Havana Chamber Orchestra for having me.

Our Spring Intern Lola visited neighboring workshop at Reed Yeboah Fine Violins with Jeemin to take measurements from Gabrieli cello made in 1753 — handling and studying a historical instrument requires a lot of care and knowledge, so happy to be sharing it to the next generation of wonderful luthiers! Not pictured: Tasty gelato to sweeten the late night werk together.
