Naughty Bird Designs OOAK hand knit hats, scarves, mittens, throws, wraps and felted embellished bags Valerie Knecht lives and knits in Hillsdale, NY and Chelsea in New York City.

She learned how to knit about 30 years ago and has made hundreds of items for family and friends, including hats, scarves, socks, sweaters, ponchos, wraps, blankets, and throws. A few years ago she started experimenting with felting. Valerie opened her shop on Etsy in 2012 with these beautiful and sturdy felted bags. Every colorful piece is hand knit, felted, hand sewn together and then embellishe

d with vintage buttons, brooches, and jewelry. Scarves, hats, shawls and throws are knit with a variety of yarns and textures to make fun, colorful one-of-a-kind pieces.
