Today is our last day open ever. Store open 2-8pm, open mic 6-8pm. Bring a bag (or take one of our paper bags) and fill it with as many books as you can for $10 per bag. Buy as many bags as you can carry. We still have a ton of current best sellers and classics you can snag. Stop in, get some books, sing a song or do some spoken word, and say your goodbyes to Rockaways only bookstore.

This Sunday June 5th 2:30-4:30pm outside the bookstore there will be free books for children and adults being distributed in a collaboration of the  Brooklyn Book Bodega, Black Surfing Rockaway, Avoid the Day Bookstore & Cafe and Sophiacosimaandkilian. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday this week will be our last days open. Our hours are Fri & Sat 2-7pm and Sunday 2-8pm. Big book sales continue and we are still going to be serving up our delicious wine, coffee, tea, and food.
