We know we’ve been pretty quiet around these parts but we’re BACK, HERE, with some SUPER EXCITING NEWS!)
Birdcage Bottom Books now has a Patreon!
As part of our continuing goal to help self-published artists and small presses reach a wider audience, the BBB has started a Patreon to help us fund the business of supporting creators! Because profit margins are so slim in the industry, we’ve found that a lot of traditional business models take that cut from artist’s profits of their books - but we’re artists too, and we know how little artists already make from their work! And that sucks!
So this is our new solution: We’re hoping to use the Patreon to fund the BBB’s expenses (and maybe even pay ourselves eventually, golly gee!) so that we can pass on as much of the profits from actual book sales to our artists as possible, both published by us and within our distro.
In return for your support we will be posting weekly content from ourselves as well as band videos and photos from shows at the Birdcage Comics Cafe, and we also hope to pull in some exclusive content from our artists to give you sneak peeks into their projects, pre-sales of our books, and maybe even some Patreon-Only freebies! Follow along as we build things from the ground up!
