The word "Jihad" (pronounced jee-haad) has historically been used in the media to conjure feelings of fear, anger and divisiveness.

Unbeknownst to most of the western world, the Arabic term is actually derived from the root word "jahada", which means to "to struggle or to strive".

Struggling to contain anger, voices and vices speaking from the soul, to remain calm and patient in harsh times and yes, struggling or fighting against oppression.

A term used historically in the context of fighting the battles against oneself, now used solely for fear tactics.

Today we introduce to you a piece that won't just survive the wear and tear of life, but as a reminder to struggle and strive in the search for humanity.
