Sunday is the TD 5 Boro Bike Tour. Eleven Inner City Handball Association riders and I are taking on the challenge of 40 miles each to raise funds for the ICHA Junior Development Fund, which provides scholarships to academic/athletic handball teens throughout New York City. Help ICHA meet its goal. All donations are appreciated and tax-deductible.

The ICHA fundraising 2024 kickoff has begun and we hope all our Facebook friends continue to support our fundraising efforts and encourage their friends to do the same.
We know times can be challenging for all but as we enter our 33rd year of Educating, Mentoring, and Serving thousands of NYC teens through the sport of Handball all donations are welcome and appreciated.
Buying popcorn at the ICHA Pop-up Store will put the ICHA travel team one step closer to participate the August World Wallball Championships in Limerick, Ireland.

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day,to my Facebook friends, a day of public service.

Just to share a bit of what it means to me.

It is a day of remembrance of the struggles that all of us have endured to get to where we are today. Those of you that know me should know that I’m not political but at times religious . Throughout my life most of my friends and supporters have been members of all political parties and we all still manage to work together for the greater good . As a Christian, I have always tried to work towards improving the lives of my friends and supporters of every denomination that I have engaged.

So today I celebrate the birthday of the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. by thanking him and his supporters for never giving up, even at the cost of his life, in the vision of the Dream where we all can one day live in a world of unity and peace. Reverend King’s sacrifice and the sacrifice of others gave me the opportunity and motivation to always strive to be the best I can be and be as helpful to others as I can.

That motivation inspired me to have founded in 1991, with the help of others, the Inner City Handball Association Inc. which educates, mentors and serves young people through the sport of Handball. It has been a blessing to me to have been able to serve young people of all nationalities and genders for the last 29 years through the sport of Handball.

I look forward to helping ICHA President Cesar Sala continue our efforts to unify and serve the young athletes of our sport that will transcend into their communities and keep the Dream alive of unity and peace.

So my Facebook friends I hope you perform an act of service not only today as a tribute to the memory of the Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. but consider performing acts of service everyday.

I am surely going to try.
