Farmers Markets of MPLS

Farmers Markets of MPLS We are a collaborative of the farmers markets operating in Minneapolis. There are nearly 20 farmers markets and mini-markets operating in Minneapolis.

Representatives of many of these markets have been working together on shared metrics collection, marketing, technical assistance and other collaborative opportunities to build a more connected and effective market system, in partnership with the City of Minneapolis, University of Minnesota, Homegrown Minneapolis, Minnesota Department of Agriculture and other market champions. The collaborative we

lcomes and encourages all Minneapolis markets to participate. A leadership team led development of the collaborative projects and goals. It has continued and expanded and currently includes the Homegrown Minneapolis Coordinator, Tamara Downs Schwei, and University of Minnesota Applied Economics faculty Hikaru Peterson, MISA Director Helene Murray and researcher Joe Nowak and Market Managers: Martha Archer and Jenny Heck (Mill City Farmers Market), Elizabeth Day and Mel Anderson (Four Sisters Farmers Market), Emily Lund (Neighborhood Roots Markets -- Fulton, Kingfield & Nokomis), Keeya Allen and Molly Fleming (Midtown Farmers Market), Mao Lee and Sina Pleggenkuhle (Minneapolis Lyndale, Nicollet Mall markets), DeVon Nolen (West Broadway Farmers Market), Sarah Knoss (Northeast Farmers Market), Jenny Breen (East Isles Farmers Market) along with other market champions. Supported by City of MPLS staff Sam Jensen and Grace Rude and recipe partnership with Beth Dooley. New participants welcome!
