Knowing what matters to you and getting clearer about your financial goals can help say no to things that don’t align with them.
For example, friends might want to go on an expensive holiday abroad when you’re saving every penny for a house deposit until next year.
It’s OK to say no to the holiday because it doesn’t align with where you’re at right now — or suggest a less pricy alternative that would work for everyone. After all, it’s less about how much we spend together, and more about the quality time spent together.
