** FOR SALE ** First time encountering this fascinating New Zealand LP by Music Players 70, a percussion-centric contemporary music ensemble featuring works by John Rimmer and Edwin Carr, two NZ composers, alongside Béla Bartók. The standout piece is Rimmer’s electro-acoustic composition on the B-side, an early example of electronic music emerging from New Zealand. The group also turns in a solid performance of Bartók’s Sonata for Two Pianos and Percussion alongside Carr’s Dances From “Electra”.

This is the original 1971 pressing on Kiwi Records. A 1973 Westminster Gold edition also exists, but the sleeve design here has the greater charm and coolness. Generally VG+ vinyl and sleeve… a little crackle, typical of most records out there.

$75 shipped within the US, pls DM if interested. Another reluctant sale, this was hiding in naughty staffer’s overstuffed hold pile.

** FOR SALE ** A solid starter copy of Matching Mole’s April ‘72 album. Year-of-issue UK pressing with textured sleeve is in VG condition overall. LP plays with some crackle. Sleeve spine was used to sharpened a few cat claws, bummer! But, this is arguably the better of their 1972 albums… just one persons opinion... and a nice affordable vintage copy for anyone not chasing perfection. Gotta love those orange CBS labels, plus the original company inner has held on.
