For this dressing room, designed by Cullman & Kravis Associates, Miriam Ellner used strapwork for each panel to give the design a structure that unifies the many panels involved. The designs were all executed in lemon, moon, and white gold leaf, both oil and water gilded with soft blue polychromes.

Two bold tapestry variations by Jerome and Evelyn Ackerman. The first, named for the year of its design, OT 66 combined a series of blocks and stripes and was available in five color palettes. The second tapestry, Moonscape, was inspired by Neil Armstrong's 1969 moonwalk.

Everyone at Pointed Leaf Press, including our publisher, Suzy Slesin, who has been a close friend of the brilliant artist Jane for fifty years, is deeply saddened by her sudden death in California last week. We are proud to have been her publisher, working with her on Dual Nature, a monograph that covered her remarkable life and wonderful work. Jane was a much-loved and admired artist to a generation of artists. Her friends on both coasts will miss her terribly, and she will never be forgotten.

"I incorporated translucent areas that allow light to pass through the screen. The desert terrain of mountains, cacti, and brush provided the basic springboard to reconfigure the scene into abstract textural forms within a warm palette." -ME
