IMPORTANT NOTICE TO OUR DOORDASH CUSTOMERS ❤️
Dear valued customers,
We want to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience regarding DoorDash orders using the $15 OFF promotion.
This promotion has been running on our DoorDash account since December 2025, and unfortunately, we did not realize until later how much it was affecting our store. Even after discovering the issue, we continued preparing these orders out of respect for our customers.
We also want to clear up an important misunderstanding:
Some customers may think DoorDash pays us back for the $15 discount. Unfortunately, they do NOT. The discount is coming out of our store’s payment.
That means when you receive $15 off, Muju is absorbing that discount — not DoorDash.
Recently, the promotion has been used much more frequently, sometimes 3–4 times in one day, and we have ended up preparing and selling some food orders for only $2–$3.
As a small family-owned business, we simply cannot continue doing this. After ingredients, packaging, employee wages, preparation costs, and other business expenses, these orders are a significant loss for us.
We have contacted DoorDash multiple times and have been trying to get this promotion removed. Unfortunately, the issue has still not been fully resolved, and we are continuing to work with DoorDash.
Effective today, we will be canceling DoorDash orders that use this $15 OFF promotion until DoorDash resolves the issue.
Please understand that we are not blaming our customers. We understand that if DoorDash shows you a promotion, naturally you may want to use it. We just want everyone to understand that DoorDash is not paying us back for this $15 discount, and our small business cannot continue absorbing these losses.
If your order is canceled because you used this promotion, we are truly sorry. It is not personal. We hate having to cancel anyone’s order, but at this point we have no other choice while we wait for DoorDash to correct the issue.
We have honored these discounted orders for months because we respect and appreciate our customers. We hope our community will also understand our situation and support us while we work to resolve this.
