Good Tuesday to you all!

It's time to get ready for another busy day at the shop. Sat Aug 22 is the day retreat and Phoenix's next visit.

Time to book your spot for the day retreat. Cost is $25 and includes lunch from Dominoes. Location is 103 Main St E from 9-5. Come and work on whatever you like.
PM, call, e mail or stop in the shop to reserve your spot. For those of you regulars, if you told me last month you were coming, your spot is reserved.

If your sewing machine needs some TLC Phoenix will be here from 1-4. Please go to her website (phoenixheller.work/pfsm) to book aa appointment.

Hi everyone!

How are you doing on this rainy day? Just a reminder that Phoenix will be here tomorrow (8-8) from 1-4 to look at your sewing machines and if necessary take them home with her for some tender loving care.

Please, if possible go to her website (phoenixheller.work?pfsm) to schedule an appointment. If tomorrow doesn't work for you, she will be back on 8-22.

This month's day retreat is Sat July 25th from 9-5 at Duck Cup (103 Main St E). Cost is $25 which includes lunch from Dominos. Our group is growing but there is still room for a few more. "Spa day for sewing machines! Bring your sewing machine to Sue's Quilt Shop on Sat July 25th from 1-4. Need a quick fix adjustment I offer 30 Min Quick Fix appointments ($50).

Need a little more attention? Drop off your sewing machine with me for a full-service cleaning, l**e and tune-up ($120).

As a bonus, I'll also have a few beautifully refurbished vintage machines available for sale. I do not yet work on Berninas. Feel free to stop and ask questions regarding sewing machine maintenance."

Good morning all! Happy anniversary to the shop!

It's hard to believe it's been 7 years since opening day. Starting the day with fabric on tables since the shelving had not come in yet seems like a lifetime ago.

As most of you know there have been and will continue to be hard times but the good far out pass the bad. I count my blessing. The people I have met and are now friends with. Seeing a 7 year old student go from that first joy is sewing to now (at 10) to doing young entrepreneur craft fair. Watching the joy on an 80 year old student remembering the joy of sewing after 50 years of not sewing. Everyone who comes in and leaves inspired (This means I've done my job). The list goes on and on but my biggest blessing is the fact I get to live out my passion every day.

I started the day crying and said I would not do it again today but as I write this the tears flow again. Don't worry, they are a mixture of happy and sad. As many of you who have known me for a long time know my mom (also my guardian angel) left this world 19 years ago today. So as you see my life changed 19 years ago and then 7 years ago.

The shop will be open on the 4th. More because I will be here sewing than because I expect people. Stop in and see me!

Enough for now! Time to dry my tears and get on with the day looking forwards to what blessings the day will bring.

Thank you for all the joy you have brought to my life. Hope to see everyone soon!

Good morning all!
Do you ever start a day with the best of intentions and then get sidetracked? This seams to be happening a lot to me lately. I start each day meaning to send out this post and then before I know it it's time to go home!

For those of you wanting to know if I ribboned at the MN State Quilt Show, I did not. On to Madison WI.

Good morning all!

It's hard to believe that All MN Shop Hop has been over for a week already. I think I am finally starting to get caught up. Figured it was time to post the winners for my "Brown Bag Challenge".

Something new here at the shop! Phoenix is trying to get her own business started.

Bring your sewing machine to Sue's Quilt Shop this July, and Phoenix Fixes Sewing Machines will transport your machine to her Minneapolis workshop for a professional tune-up, cleaning, and lubrication. Drop off is July 11th from 1-4. Cost is $120. Please contact Phoenix at [email protected].
