we’re so excited to announce another tattoo pop-up with Carly of .handpoke, to celebrate the long-awaited spring! Join us at the shop on Sunday, April 12th from 12-5pm for a day of hand poke tattoos ☻

booking is open now via our website, and pre-registration is strongly encouraged! You can choose your design when you arrive on the 12th (see photo for flash options + pricing), and note that placement is limited to hands, lower arms, legs, and back of shoulders. All designs are between 1.5-2.5” in size, and no design modifications, please!

last but not least, you must be 18+ to get tattooed, and don’t forget to bring your ID with you!

hi y’all: I’m excited to announce the start of Fourth Fridays here at Ritualist, where we’ll be allocating 25% of all profits that we make on the fourth Friday of each month to contribute to various local & national organizations and collectives throughout 2026.

since launching Ritualist online in 2020, I’ve made it a regular practice to donate a portion of our sales to causes that I believe in — but that’s become more and more difficult over time, as the cost of running a small business has continued to increase exponentially each year. Committing to one day a month is what feels sustainable right now, and I look forward to choosing a different recipient each month based on what feels most needed both in our local community and across the country.

I was inspired by last Friday’s national strike and the conversations that it brought up, especially those centered around how small businesses fit into the larger picture when it comes to taking economic action. I also have to give a shout out to Bandcamp, as I was inspired in part by Bandcamp Fridays (where the platform waives their revenue share on designated days, so that all proceeds go directly to independent bands & labels.) Their tried-and-true model feels like a good template for us to put our own spin on!

running a small business comes with a lot of responsibility, and I feel called to step up and re-commit to giving back in ways that are both meaningful and manageable in today’s economic climate. Here’s to doing what we can in 2026, beginning with this one small but intentional step. 🫶🏻

These perfect postcards are now available in the shop and on our site. ✨

Cat’s gorgeous illustration features our New Paltz storefront, complete with plants in the window, our logo-adorned sign hanging high above Main Street, and a sweet pup in the doorway (because we love it when you bring your pets to visit!) Printed on sturdy, matte cardstock, these 4” x 6” postcards are perfect for popping in the mail to all of your witchy & plant-loving pals, or for proudly displaying to show your love for our small-but-mighty Hudson Valley shop.

I’m so honored to have Ritualist captured in such a beautiful way — and as we approach our fifth year here in New Paltz, it feels extra important to celebrate our space in every way possible!

bringing non-alcoholic beverages into the shop a couple of years ago for dry January was one of the best decisions I’ve made (and not just because it gives me easy access to my own supply of delicious bevs — though I won’t act like that’s not an added perk!) It makes me so happy that y’all have enjoyed having these mocktails available as much as I have: whether you’re doing dry Jan, are trying to cut back, or you’re sober 24/7/365, it’s so nice to have fancy sips at the ready.

in addition to bulking up our NA options this month, I’m beyond thrilled to be stocking ’s gorgeous new book, Sober Magic. It’s an insightful and thought-provoking guide to using spiritual and magical tools on your sobriety (or sober-curious) journey, and I highly recommend it for anyone who’s interested in reassessing their relationship with alcohol. Sarah is an incredible resource for all things magic, and her book explores sobriety through the lens of self-reflection, ritual, and tarot work.

if going booze-free (or cutting back) is part of your new year reset — or you’re just in need of a really great read and some fizzy treats in your fridge — we’ve got you! 🫶🏻

it’s that time again: valentine’s day bouquets are now available for pre-order! 💐 for our fifth year running, we’ll have fresh, bright blooms for you to pick up on February 13th & 14th. This year’s bouquets will feature all of our favorites: vibrant roses, colorful ranunculus, and plenty of textural accents, all in a bed of fragrant eucalyptus.

choose from a big bouquet (our signature offering, with or without a vase), a small bouquet (pre-wrapped & ready to go), or a mini bud vase arrangement (a great option for galentine’s celebrations, pals, or when you just need a little something special!)

pre-ordering is strongly recommended, and we’ll have grab-and-go flowers available at the shop from 11am-6pm on 2/13 & 2/14 (or until we run out.) I truly cannot wait to make these for you — I love turning the shop into a mini flower factory each year! 🌸✨

after our annual winter break, we’re back in action and ready to take on 2026! 💫 our remaining online orders are heading out the door, and I’m spending the day sweeping, dusting, rearranging, and reimagining the shop for our fifth year here in new paltz (can you believe it?!)

what I adoringly like to refer to as the *January delusion* has also set in, and I’m like: should I order a billion new things for the shop? Should I plan something crazy for our fifth anniversary? Should I start a podcast? 🤪🤪🤪
