Another amazing day, yesterday. We had a big breakfast at Mr. Ed's, got souvenirs for the kids and enjoyed a little shopping and relaxing. For dinner we meet up with our friend Karlie at The Cornet on Bourbon Street for BBQ shrimp, red beans and rice with catfish,before taking another look at LaLaurie Mansion and heading into a voodoo shop for some brick dust and a crystal. IYKYK.

Yesterday we had breakfast at Cafe Beignet and then took an amazing tour of the Oak Alley Plantation. The history and beauty was something else. Then we went on a swamp tour which was one of Tyler Frickey's bucket list items. He held an alligator, we also saw two alligators mating, and had the most Cajun tour guide! We ended the night with Chinese food ordered in! Missing our kids, family, and friends but loving this opportunity. Can we get a round of applause for my mom who is holding down the fort at home??? 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We walked over 20,000 steps through the French Quarter yesterday. We tasted beignets and Tyler got his dream po-boy. Wrapped up the evening with a haunted, voodoo, and vampire tour. The people here are friendly and beautiful - Aloe and Karlie invited us to hang out with them again. Getting some sustenance before a plantation and swamp tour at Oak Alley Plantation.

Last workout of 2024! Down 68lbs from my highest this year, currently my lowest weight in 8 years. And 1,720,780 measured steps this year. Just the beginning of the second half of my amazing life.

Have you met Josh? He's the proprietor of The Paper Place in Sisters Oregon AND he may be one of my biggest fans. Josh requests my quilts for display every year for three years now.
