These etched oyster shell necklaces have been coming together at the workbench lately and I’m really excited about this little collection. Each shell is cut, etched, and finished by hand, so they all come out a little different. Inspired by the Louisiana coast and all the beautiful oyster shells you find along the water.

This is what 3 ounces of 18 gauge sterling silver wire looks like. It’s one of the many materials I use to create jewelry — especially my hammered hoop collection.

Today, this bundle cost me $345. Just one year ago, it would’ve been about $80 — a 300%+ increase. 😢💔🙀

I’ll be popping up at Frühlingsfest in Bayou St. John this weekend and I’m really looking forward to this one. There are so many fun things happening around the city right now and this festival is a great excuse to get outside and enjoy the spring weather. Tried something new with these. I used stainless steel wire instead of sterling (the silver market is still… bonkers🤪). It’s not quite as easy to wrap, but I really love the softer gray tone it gives. Feels especially right with these chunky turquoise stones. I have 2 available right now.
