1) Create a quiet, dark and comfortable sleep environment at your preferred temperature
2) Remove electronic devices from your bedroom
3) Avoid large meals, caffeine and alcohol before bedtime
4) Go to bed at a consistent time
5) Exercise during the day to avoid nighttime restlessness
