2024 Gun opener was a good one for us. One of my favorites of the year was of a hunter who shot a buck in a very large marsh and thought the buck dropped but couldn't locate the buck sweeping the area on foot. So he called for some assistance.
Due to the area being all marsh there was no pinpoint area for me to start looking so the hunter walked to the area where he was when he shot. He was quickly located and I got to record the experience of the hunter walking up to his buck.
On our way back he shared that from his onyx track sweeping for his buck he walked 2.1 yards from him and never saw him!

Happy Holidays from AP!

Earlier this week I had a call to help locate a 5month old puppy. This dog had been missing for over 48 hours. Two prior drones and tracking dogs weren't successful at locating prior to our arrival. It's been an amazing first season in recovery and this was a great ending to our year!

This buck was still alive in the morning when we first had located him. Went back 6hrs later to find he got up and moved about 50 yards but expired!

This recovery took a lot longer than it should have, but I had problems with my aerial maps loading and lost my grid search so I had to start over. I had a large area laid out to search and worked my way back towards the shot location. We were on our last pass through and found him.. watching a hunter go from losing hope to pure excitement was worth the effort!

November 4th I was asked to help find a giant in Crawford county that the hunter tracked a mile and a half, across 2 alfalfa fields, Jumping him out of his 3rd bed, I thought we might have a chance if they were able to track across alfalfa fields. I was sent a picture of the buck and was all in driving throughout the night to try and get this footage. I was unsuccessful after searching close to 3 hrs and going through around 700 acres. Few days later I was told by a local the buck was still alive and someone he knew had him on camera. Yesterday I received knews that the buck was harvested by a gun hunter. Congrats to the hunter on an absolute giant!
