In honor of Memorial Day, As You Like It Gallery & Frame Studio would like to share one of our most important framing projects. These are boots from the Vietnam War. We included this hero's draft card & a picture we framed of him, while he served. We used real dirt to line the bottom of this shadowbox.
And finally, we'd like to remember & thank all who gave the ultimate sacrifice. 🇺🇲

As You Like It Gallery & Frame Studio honors Labor Day by sharing what Debbie, our customer, brought us. This updated version of the magazine cover " Rosie the Riveter”. We wrapped the mat with a bluejeaned material & put an industrial-like frame to complete the look. Finished off with Museum glass, this piece continues to be timeless. Debbie looks pretty happy to us, proving that ”We Frame Emotions!”.

As You Like It Gallery & Frame Studio's customer, David, owner of William Penn Roofing ( https://williampennroofing.com/ ), came to us with this picture of his lawn sign & crew. This piece gave us the opportunity to think outside the box! We used actual roofing shingles for the mat and a wide ornate black/silverish frame that mimicked his lawn sign's design. What an impressive piece his customers get to see when coming to his business! "Happy with our work" is an understatement, according to David. Proving again that "We Frame Emotions!”.

As You Like It Gallery & Frame Studio frames a lot of symbolic art like this one. Our customer brought in this extremely meaningful work of art done by her friend’s husband. It was to celebrate his wife beating cancer. It was our responsibility to design something that honored this courageous woman’s battle and the symbolic meaning of the dragonfly (To love life and rejoice and to have faith amidst difficulties). Our customer told us that her friend’s cancer has returned and that is why she was framing it now. They ALL are in our thoughts and prayers. We recognized how important this piece is to her.” We Frame Emotions!”.

When we suggested to our customer that we should record him telling the story behind how he earned it, put it on a flash drive and put it in a pocket on the back of the framed torch so future generations of family members can share his moment...it brought him to tears. EVERY PICTURE TELLS A STORY!
As You Like It Gallery & Frame Studio’s story last week has an accompanying piece. Our customer, Dr. Pedinoff, had us frame his very cool Rolling Stones piece, done by Ronnie Wood (see the previous posting on July 24th). He had another of Ronnie Wood’s pieces, the setlist from the Stones’ concert in Nashville. We used another unique, industrial rusty-like frame with rivets, and spacers to keep it off the UV Protective glass. Each of these 2 pieces has its own creative look but looks so good together. Dr, Pedinoff is pleased as are we! “WE FRAME EMOTIONS!”

As You Like It Gallery & Frame Studio’s customer, Dr. Pedinoff, loves the Rolling Stones. He wanted us to design his signed & numbered artwork done by Ronnie Wood. We wanted to create something unique for it and used a brown, industrial, rusty-like, moulding, with acid-free mats that would support the colors and of course UV protective glass. You can tell by the grin on his face that he loves it! Another example of... “WE FRAME EMOTIONS!” Check out next week’s story for Dr. Pedinoff’s Rolling Stones’ artwork of their setlist.
