I understand our inventory can elicit some different feelings/emotions. Believe it or not… you don’t have to vocalize them. 😂

Tourist-town retail is its own monster—people tend to wander into every open door, regardless of whether what’s inside is actually their cup of tea. Which is totally fine! But walking into an oddities shop and complaining about oddities is a little like wandering into a candle store and complaining that you’re sensitive to scents.

So, in an effort to boost the mood of the average tourist who wanders in, I put out a dish of candy. Suckers, mints, etc. Who can be rude/grumpy when there are free treats?

First customer to notice the dish: ‘These aren’t poisoned or anything, are they?’

I give up. 😂
