We're sure going to miss those of you moving on to the next phase of your life. We have such a wonderful crew! As everyone knows, things in life are ever-changing.

We're looking for good people to fill position(s) in the maintenance and delivery areas of the Blumenladen. Qualified candidates must be hard-working and dependable, able to work weekends, able to lift at least 50lbs, and have a clean driving record.

Insurance and other benefits are available, and pay is based on experience. Must have good communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to operate machinery and tools, including (but not limited to) a forklift and snowblower.
Retail and garden/horticulture experience is preferred but not necessary.

I’m a Doctor of Chiropractic based in New Glarus, Wisconsin, and a lifelong craftsman with a deep appreciation for working with my hands.

For more than 36 years, I’ve practiced chiropractic sports care while also creating handcrafted wood pieces inspired by the beauty and character of Wisconsin trees. Each bowl, home good, and custom piece begins as a raw log and is shaped to highlight the natural grain, movement, and story within the wood. No two pieces are ever alike.

As an avid outdoorsman and Labrador trainer, my connection to the Wisconsin landscape influences everything I create. I’m drawn to pieces that are both functional and lasting, objects meant to be used, enjoyed, and passed down for generations.

Before chiropractic college, I spent five years working as an electrical lineman for MG&E. That experience taught me precision, patience, and respect for craftsmanship, values that continue to shape both my work and my woodworking today.

This weekend was a reminder of what makes this community so special.

As part of the Historic New Glarus Hotel Restaurant restoration, we had the opportunity to share a small collection of historic pieces from the hotel with the community.

Only a limited number of pieces were offered because the Hotel is intentionally preserving much of the history for its next chapter. Many original pieces, architectural elements, furnishings, and artifacts are being carefully saved and incorporated into the reopening of the Historic New Glarus Hotel so guests can continue to experience its story for generations to come.

What made the weekend so memorable wasn't the items themselves. It was the people.

Watching community members walk through the building, share memories, tell stories, and connect over a place that has meant so much to New Glarus was incredibly moving.

The excitement, encouragement, and support we experienced throughout the weekend reinforced just how important this project is to our community.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who stopped by, shared a memory, offered support, or took home a small piece of the hotel's history.

The Historic New Glarus Hotel has been part of this community's story for more than 170 years. We are honored to help preserve that legacy while preparing it for the future.

Thank you for being part of the journey.
