For sale is an antique 21 Simon and Halbig 1009 Bisque Head Doll with beautiful stationary brown eyes. The doll has set eyes, and the bisque head has no cracks, chips, or repairs. Please examine all the pictures provided to ensure that the doll meets your expectations.
The doll comes with a complete outfit containing a dress, a camisole, pantaloons, shoes, and socks. However, please note that the laces of the shoes are slightly frayed. The doll also has a replaced wig that frames her face wonderfully. She measures 21 inches in height without her wig and about 2 inches taller with her antique bonnet. She is $1000 plus an estimated $50 for shipping from CT 06351.

17 inch doll with original brown composition head doll with flanged neck. She has painted brown eyes, eyeliner, painted teeth, a mohair wig, a brown muslin torso, upper arms and legs. Her arms and shoes are painted. She has the original red cotton dress with white muslin apron, undergarments, and bangle earrings. Please see the stain or brown discoloration on the shoulder. The doll was designed by Tony Sarg,circa 1937.

How does a $15 doll end up costing Dear Hubby $140? Well...I picked up this little doll with a basket for $15 at a flea market. As we were walking around, I noticed an antique hoop for a French doll. It was so exquisite and from a doll collector. The"Best" price tag was $125. The hoop also had the perfect proportions for my $15 doll. I knew this was a sign from God. But Dear Hubby did not see “the vision in the sky.” After a brief go-around with him about my “NEED” for the hoop, I noticed the basket for the doll was gone. It had dislodged from the doll’s hand, exposing her white under cloth. I was horrified, I explained the only solution was to retrace our steps through the flea Market. I did NEED something to cover her damaged hands. I felt awful. I planned how we could split up to look for the basket aisle by aisle. Well, what do you know? Dear Hubby thought it would be easier to just buy the hoop. Not wanting to start an argument, I agreed!

Hey, y'all! I'm back with some crazy stories about my life as a Facebook Instagram hustler. Bill and I love collecting Black things, like vintage magazines, posters, art, memorabilia, toys, and dolls. I retired over a year ago, a decided to dedicate my life to looking for senior discounts and downsizing our stuff. We want to pass things on to future historians and curators. We gotta sell. So, we made a website called antiqueblackthings.com and to sell our treasures. Since nobody knew the site existed, we started a page to promote it called “AntiqueBlackThings" (ABT)."ABT was slow on FB, but , on Instagram, took off and has 17,000 organic followers. Please join us ( don’t forget the underscores). I was so busy managing the page and the website that I had no time to manage this site, for my dolls. There has been a surge in interest in this site over the last month, and comments which have sparked my renewed interest. I planned to share and sell my vintage ( and maybe antique) dolls. I'm going to tell you all about the fun and wacko things that happened to me and my dolls over the years. I am introducing my new profile today! I hope to use it across all AntiqueBlackthing-associated sites. What do you think about the new profile, yes, I also created the old one, but I know its bad! What are your thoughts about this site AND what do you like? Please drop any random comment below, I take anything you will give to create a site that will grow. Of course ( you knew this was coming) I will need a few days to gather your comments and incorporate them into my plan. The new kick-off day is August 1st . Dear Hubby suggested I post the "doll that saved my life." A turn-of-the-century wooden peg peddler doll. 9.5 inches tall. She has glass eyes and is busy peddling her goods. So here she is my lifesaver, I was going to die if I did not get her.

She is a 17 inch Danbury Mint doll ... For some reason, her right arm is really weird. I have come to accept that Danbury Mint refuses to make realistic Black dolls but I really, really wanted a Harris Doll!
