Ground officially broken for Connersville’s new action sports park!!!
Today we were invited to the groundbreaking ceremony for Connersville’s upcoming new skatepark, inclusive playground, and loop trail!
Long before the PB you know now, we were loading up the portable shop van in the early to mid 2000s and driving over to hang out at Connersville’s original wooden skatepark. Eventually, those trips, sessions and friendships led us to opening a brick-and-mortar shop in Connersville where we poured energy into running events, supporting riders, and helping grow the local riding scene. That was a special era for PB.
When the wooden park went away many years ago, the need for a skatepark in Connersville never left.
Fast forward to today, it’s incredibly exciting to see a brand-new concrete park built by Hunger Skateparks officially becoming reality. A permanent place for riders, skaters, scooters, and families to come together. A place that will be built to stay.
At PB, we plan to help however we can…offering guidance, hosting events, supporting local riders and helping cultivate the kind of welcoming scene we believe in… all ages, all skill levels, and all wheels.
Even after our Connersville era, so many Connersville riders and families have continued making the trip over to visit the shop and ride with us in New Castle, and we’re very grateful for that support. We’re looking forward to spending more time back in Connersville again…pulling up in the PB van just like old times. ❤️
What gets us stoked is seeing both New Castle and Connersville riders having incredible places to ride and grow together. Strong local scenes, new friendships, more events, and more opportunities for riders of all ages and skill levels to connect. That’s a win for everybody.
As construction continues, a completion timeline will become available, and we’ll be sure to keep everyone updated as more information rolls out.
Huge thank you to Connersville Parks & Recreation for having us be part of today, and big shoutout to everyone involved in bringing this entire project to life. We’re happy to be included and excited for what this project means for Cville!
