Fishing Report for June 19, 2026

Croaker were caught at Woodland Beach, Port Mahon, Bowers Beach and Broadkill Beach. A few striped bass were caught at Augustine, while there were blues caught in the Broadkill and white perch in many tidal creeks.

The Cape Henlopen State Park Fishing Pier reported that large blues, a few keeper flounder, spot and croaker were caught from the pier.

The surf was dominated by dogfish sharks and skates, but spot, croaker and small blues were also caught.

Striped bass and bluefish were caught at the Indian River Inlet at night. Flounder action was good in the Inland Bays and there were also good numbers of spot and croaker.

Black sea bass fishing continued to be good in the Inshore Ocean and bluefin tuna were reported from the Offshore Ocean.

In freshwater, bass were reported from Garrisons Lake, Masseys Mill Pond and Silver Lake Dover.

The ocean can be dangerous for people unfamiliar with the ocean.
