Here’s a little update in case you missed my stories yesterday. I created a new to me color using cutch & iron. It created a lovely, earthy gray hue on the organic cotton onesies I dyed. I felt it needed a little something extra, so I added some shrooms! So adorable. 🍄🍄🍄

Oh boy. I’ve been out of the game for a bit! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Summer has been non-stop so far.

I’m back on the horse now. Getting some baby swaddle special orders completed this weekend and then it’s back to my regularly scheduled dyeing shenanigans!

Happy Monday my friends! I completed this quartet of naturally dyed silk squares over the weekend. It was soooo much fun.

I love the reckless feeling I get from throwing extracts together to see what happens. The best part of the process is not knowing what you’ve created until you unravel the bundle. The hardest part is being patient enough to let the bundle cool to room temp before unraveling.

If I’ve learned anything from my short tenure in natural dyeing it’s that patience is key. I’ve had to slow down to a snail’s pace in some aspects and it really makes you appreciate the journey. 🌿
