Ramen noodles are a favorite among our children, but recently we were able to link them as a trigger for migraines in my son. So, I found a homemade ramen bone broth recipe and by following the National Center for Home Food Preservation's 'Your Choice' soup guidelines, I was able to pressure-can 13 pints of broth, plus put another 8 pints in the refrigerator. I expect they will be consumed quickly given the family's love for ramen noodles.

Taking advantage of the weather. It was most likely our last day in the 60’s for the year. 3 new raised beds dedicated to garlic and shallots. We planted German Extra Hardy Garlic (strong, spicy taste with a hint of sweetness), Music Garlic (raw, it is pungent, hot, and spicy with floral and peppery notes, while cooked, it becomes rich, savory, and sweet), Dutch Red Shallots (sweet, mild, aromatic and flavorful) and French Grey Shallots (highly prized variety with a delicate, umami-rich flavor and pink-purple flesh). Hoping to have all of these available for sale next year.
