Y’all are wild! You helped our Vincennes & Culbertson crosswalk concerns reach over 53,000 people just by the power of the share button. Thank you!

We even heard back from Larry Summers (city engineer) that the intersection is under review, but he will not say when the review began or when it will end.

There is a new RRFB (flashing signal) at 15th & Market, and if a city review showed a need for increased safety there, we feel confident that our intersection will show similar need. We observe over one hundred people at this intersection each day, and those numbers will rise as the high school kids head back to school in a few weeks. It’s imperative that we work to keep them safe. So, now we need to take this conversation off screens.

This Thursday 7/9 at 6pm, the Public Safety and Traffic Committee is hosting a listening session in the Straussweg Auditorium at the Floyd County Library on Spring St. We encourage you to be there to let the listeners hear that you support a proper signal to keep our community safe from careless drivers.

Our new deli paperdollsdeli is open!!!
They are open Tuesday-Friday, 10:30-130 and 4:30-6:30, and on Saturdays from 10-2. You can find Dolls at 941 State St. We hope to see a lot of you there.

We need your help. We have been reaching out to city_of_new_albany_official since January about making our intersection safer for the high school kids and all of our customers. Our representative Greg Phipps told us he could not advocate for us because the City Planning office had sole authority. Mickey Thompson suggested that we all walk down to Ekin St and the director, Larry Summers, refuses to return our emails.

Good morning friends. We are celebrating our 5-year anniversary next weekend on June 13th and 14th! Mickey’s Community Exchange and other friends will be in the yard both days and we will have books on sale all weekend.
Thank you all so much for turning this coffee shop and bookstore into the community hub that it’s become. We appreciate you all so much.
