It's another two-review week! This week, Sheryl recommends Daughter of Egypt by Marie Benedict, and Richard recommends The Ending Writes itself by Evelyn Clarke.
Sheryl's Review:
“The book has dual timelines. The first one features Lady Evelyn Herbert, the daughter of Lord Carnarvon and student of Howard Carter. The second timeline follows Hatshepsut, beginning in 1486 B.C. If you enjoy historical fiction, but need a break from World War II, this book is a great choice.”
Richard's Review:
“For avid mystery readers, you likely have noticed a trend in the arc of plots and settings lately: a small group of people stranded on an island, preferably in Scotland, with one murder after another, ala And Then There Were None . The novel not only offers all the twists and turns you expect in a well-written mystery, and has enough whit and whimsy to keep the story fresh.”
